Hey Everyone!!
First off....I have to do a shout out to my girl CeAnn who's getting married this week!! Congrats I love you tons!
This week has been really really good.  It was a crazy busy week but we are managing to find really well.  Something that the three of us have started is we are talking literally to everybody.  We talk..and get a scheduled apt as short and as powerful as we can make it.
Monday was exciting in Walmart out of all places:)--But that night we wanted to proselyte and be sure to get a couple of potential investigators.  So each of us took turns randomly talking to people.  Well...my turn happened to be back by the eggs....this is how it started (it was a couple I had to talk to), "Hey, so how do y'all tell what eggs are good and what eggs are bad?  I just don't know what brand of eggs to get."  okay first off really?!  Did I really just ask about what brand of eggs to get?  Yep I did...the conversation continued, "um yeah...you open the lid to see if any of the eggs are cracked."  In my mind I'm thinking....you are a dork...you already know this.  Then I asked, "okay...well just like I'm trying to pick out what eggs to get...how do y'all pick out a "good" church?"  Then the conversation just took off and we are going to teach them both this week!!  It was awesome:)  I've realized what power there is in the name Jesus Christ.  When you tell everyone we are from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints..they are so receptive.  Then when you pull out the Book of Mormon..they say "Your Mormons?!"  Okay...yes yes we are but we read our King James version of the Bible just like you!  When we say that then they are softened just a bit:)
It's amazing at how much people love Jesus Christ down here!  I love it so much....we need to be more vocal about it at home.  I mean we are Members of the "one Lord, One faith, one baptism"  We are members of the church Jesus Christ is literally the head of.  Why wouldn't we be more vocal and proud of that fact!  I know when I get home things are going to be a little different.  Before I was very much excited and always willing to learn about Joseph Smith.  I love that man with all my heart and I know he was the first prophet of the Restored Church.  However...I always overlooked the atonement and my Savior Jesus Christ.  Then I come out here and Jesus Christ is everyone's life.  I have really been studying about his life and it just amazes me.  He is truly my Savior and Redeemer and all I do I do for my Lord, my king Jesus Christ and for my Heavenly Father.  I am so grateful I am around so many others that love him just like me.  I mean you drive past a bank and in the automatic billboard thing, and it has a scripture for all the cars to drive past, see then look up in the bible.  Well...I'm from Utah...the south is known as the Bible belt, and Utah is known as..."Mormon Country".  Wouldn't it be awesome if the bank in Cache Valley posted up a Scripture from the Book of Mormon and in the next slide one from the Bible?  Good heavens lets me more proud of the fact we have the only book on earth that has been translated once!  It's the most perfect book on earth and I love it and know it's true with all my heart.
Okay...sorry I've gone off on a tangent...I seem to do that a lot.  Tuesday was amazing...we got let into every door it seemed.  People are so willing to listen and respect what we have to say when our message is all about our Savior Jesus Christ.  I love the spirit of the south!!  My heart has never been so full as it has this week.  My mission is meaning more and more to me everyday and I know that I am merely clay in the lords hands and he is molding me into the mother I will one day become.
It was zone conference this week....my sweet President gave us a scripture to use at different approaches.  The scripture is 3 Nephi 11:10-11.  I encourage all to read it...then think about how you feel.  If those versus are true (which they are because it's pure doctrine about Christ)  then why on earth would the Book of Mormon not be true?  I testify it is.  The Book of Mormon revolves around Jesus Christ and that it is true.
Anyways--it was such a good week.  My amazing trio won 3rd place (there's only 3 places) for the cleanest car award at zone conference!  I love the fact that more sisters keep coming out!! We have so much power ladies.  Never ever let that passion in our hearts die.  I love the young women's theme--We are daughters of our Heavenly Father who loves us and we love him.
I am so thankful to be a missionary at this great time.  I love the work and I love my brother Jesus Christ.
Y'all take care!!

Hey y'all!!
Wow what a great week!! So many things happen each week that it's hard to gather my thoughts and really think of specific things to write about...so how about we just start with Monday?  Cool?  Cool...
Monday--Monday was fun we went to FHE with the Jackson Branch and we were able to have a really good time.  I always love going to the Jackson Branch--it's so different then the Clinton Ward but what's cool is even though the people are so different the gospel and the doctrines
Wednesday--Wednesday really changed the perspective of the week.  Elder Maddox our district leader is really great on how he teaches. I learn so much about being a bold missionary from him!!  This week we really are making a goal to invite everyone to baptism within the first 2-3 min of approaching them.  It's a very different approach but President really likes it and it is changing a lot of things.  It's a very scary thing sometimes to randomly go up to someone...connect the gospel to their life then invite them to be baptized with a brief background on who we are it's crazy but so bold and I love it.
Thursday we went to Brandon to meet with President! Before we went for companion study we planned that we would sing "I am a child of God" to one of our investigators.  The practice was really good and we decided we would sing it for President..we didn't really want an audience.  Well...it came time to sing it for President...and president says, "well lets get an audience together...."  so the AP's and all the Senior Couples came in!  Next thing we know...we sang the song with 5 verses..(and there is only 3) cause we kept messing up and then...the AP's though it would be a great idea to have all three of us sing that at Zone Conference this week!  Keyes and Zemp were dying!! haha So no the trio is singing at Zone Conference this week!  It will be a good story.  Then at the end President says, "I love songs with 5 versus...:)"  Yeah.....this should be good.   Later that day we had an aweome lesson with our investigator and we sang to her and she loved it!!
Friday--We did service for one of our ward members and Friday was our ward Family game night.  We had an investigator come and he was awesome!! He even sang Karaoke a bit...Since we can't sing "songs of the world" haha we sang amazing grace....it was really funny!
Saturday we were able to go out and find a bit.  We posted hearts all over Dorothy's door and told her how much we loved her.  She called us back saying, "Sister Jenkins! You are the only one that can get away with things like that!  But I want y'all to know, y'all made my day and I will see you at church sunday.  It was the cutest message ever!  I really love that lady--I love it here so much...and heart attacking her door was a very good idea:)
Sunday we subbed for singing time in primary!! I loved every second...I love children so much! Later Sunday... I was able to throw the crutches down for a bit and tract!! I tracted...in my boot without my crutches.  It was the greatest feeling ever...while we were tracting...a Mississippi rain storm suddenly happened.  Well...there is no point of trying to run to get out of it...we brought umbrellas...even though they didn't seem to do much good haha we were still soaking wet from head to toe in less then 5 min.  What I found a little sad was....we tracted the entire street in that pouring rain...my giant boot for my ankle was all wet and we were determined to find someone.  Sadly we didn't...and the one couple that let us in called "Jon Smith" a kook!  I felt that fire in my soul start to burn as I was yelling at myself in my head not to yell at him because it was a very nice thing of these two to do by letting us in.  "They have hatred by the traditions on their fathers."  That's what I have to keep telling myself.  It's not they're fault....really it's what they've been taught.
Overall it was a really good week...what week isn't?!  This gospel is truly the way for eternal happiness.  I have never been happier in all my life.  I am so grateful and blessed for this opportunity to serve.  I KNOW....Joseph Smith was the first prophet of the RESTORED gospel.  I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior.  I love him he is my best friend. Stay safe...enjoy your summer!! I'll talk to y'all next week!

Hey y'all!!
What a week..full of different experiences that I am so thankful for.  Monday was a great memorial day! I hope everyone remembered our soldiers and remembers how blessed we are to be apart of this country.  In the Book of Mormon it says over and over again..."If ye keep the commandments ye shall prosper in the land."  I know that if we put our faith in God that we will prosper more abundantly
Tuesday came around and I was still not able to do a ton however.... we did go to the doctor and he gave me this wonderful Boot to wear!  He said that yes it's broken but in about a month I should be walking with the boot.  It was all just a relief and my prayers were all answered.  I felt so much love and I knew that I am supposed to learn a lot from this experience.  I read Alma 26 and it was such a comforting chapter and made me realize that this is just a trial and I will finish this mission strong!  I love my mission so much....I love the ward and I couldn't ask to be in a better place.  I have learned so much and can't express all the love I feel for this ward taking such good care of me.  I don't deserve it.  I really don't and I feel like when this injury has healed it has motivated me to just work even harder then before.  All I want to do is run sometimes...haha it's rough but there are so many things to be thankful for that I can still do the work with a smile.
Wednesday was an emotional day...we lost two of our progressing investigators because they simply aren't ready.  All district meeting I could feel that they were not going to accept the message yet.  It was a really good district meeting.  I hopped along with my crutches and we were able to have a special visit from President and Sister McDonough!  I love them so much...they make me so happy and I love listening to President McDonough he is so wise and all of his advice I take to heart.
Thursday we went out to Raymond.  I know that my days in Clinton are getting short....so I told Bro. Kynerd that and all the work that has been done in Clinton was worth this one comment, "You have touched our lives more then you know and have left your mark on our hearts."  I almost started to cry.   That made my heart swell with joy....--I worked all day Thursday and it was interesting with a cast.  I tried tracting and we got into one door.  The man was so nice!!  I love the south:)
Friday I worked all day again....not so smart still..  haha I weeded a potential investigators yard with one foot in my proselyting clothes!! I don't like just sitting there and watching...I had to help somehow.
Honestly it was a really good week.  There's so much to say and my mind just can't grasp all of it.  However--I am thankful I am here with all my heart.  I know that every trial is a blessing and we can overcome all.  The lords hand is in all things!! That is very evident and I know that without a doubt.  Thank you all for all you do.
